This is a personal, fully escorted small group tour with a maximum of 8 guests. Smaller numbers mean a smaller vehicle which allows us to take scenic routes and stay in smaller towns at B&B’s or in guest houses. For the most part of this journey, we will travel in the comfort of an air conditioned vehicle with our own personal driver. Because at this time it is winter in South India temperatures are generally at their most pleasant. Note that the hill stations can be quite cool at night. The cuisine in South India is a highlight and well known for its huge diversity of vegetarian dishes. However, there are always alternative options available to keep everyone’s taste buds and belly needs satisfied.
Itinerary: Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry – Tanjore – Madurai – Kumily – Alappuzha – Kochi – Coonoor – Mysore – Bangalore – Tiruvannamalai – Auroville – Chennai
The tour starts at noon on the first day and concludes in Chennai on the last day. There is an option to leave the tour in Bangalore as the last few days require a higher level of fitness. Ask for details and price variation.
