We have finally got a new website up and running! Thanks to Alex Monckton, whose service was fantastic, your visit to www.insidetours.com.au is now much more user friendly.
A few images of the first “North India tour”. Visited Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal), tiger safari at Ranthambore N.P., Bundi, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaipur. Being much more touristy than the south, meant better service levels. Roads still leave a lot to be desired, but road upgrades are in evidence in many areas.
The south India tour is over, now relaxing and shivering in the north, 11 degrees this morning. Staying in Bodhgaya now after a few days at Varanasi, a fascinating city. Enjoyed some great classical Hindustani music and colorful cremation ceremonies at the ghats of the holy Ganga. It’s THE place to die for devout Hindus.
Space is at a premium, with fierce competition between humans and their modes of transport, as well as monkeys who rule the roof tops, and cows which seem to take it in their stride.
In Tiruvannamalai now after enjoying the classical Indian music and dance performances at Pondicherry and Mamallapuram. Climbed up a fort today and a holy mount Arunachala. Tired but all good!
